What we keep and what we show
The whole product is built around collecting as little as possible. We do not ask who you are: no account, no name, no email. Here is everything we do touch.
What we collect
The address you typed
Kept private and seen only by the moderator. What gets published is the 100 block it rounds to, like "1200 block of N Serrano Ave".
Your photo
Stored in a private bucket. The only public version is the generated sign, which uses the photo as you painted it. The re-encoding in the form strips location data before it uploads.
A hashed network address
A one-way hash of your IP is stored with the report so we can cap submissions per day. We cannot turn it back into an address.
Basic traffic analytics
Vercel Analytics counts page views without cookies and without identifying you.
Who else sees it
Reports are stored with Supabase, our own internal alerts go out through Resend, the site runs on Vercel, and approved signs are posted to Instagram through upload-post. Each of those handles data on our behalf. None of them receive anything about you, because we hold nothing about you. We do not share anything with advertisers.
What you can ask for
Take a sign down
Email hello@reportpoop.com with the block and we take it down the same day.
Delete your report
Email hello@reportpoop.com with your report link and we delete the report and the photo. The link is the only proof of authorship there is, so keep it private.
Ask what we have
Email with your report link and we tell you exactly what is stored under it.
